Salford ‘PALS’ is an easy to follow training package designed to enable year 5 and 6 pupils to undertake sports leadership within school, for example in roles such as playground leaders, assisting in the running of after school clubs and also in helping with school sporting events and in PE lessons. 

This resource has been tried and tested over many years in Salford schools as an introduction to leadership for pupils. The original resource was developed by Darren Birchall for School Sport Partnerships in Salford.

When capacity allows, the SSP will deliver this training at an additional cost.

Schools are able to use and adapt the resource to suit their needs.
